Intertwined Figures by Libero Badii

“Figuras Entrelazadas” (Intertwined Figures) by Libero Badii is part of the permanent collection of the Centro Cultural San Martín and is installed in one of its main exhibition galleries. For many years, it has shared its space with temporary exhibitions of contemporary works. In this continual succession of changing displays, its constant presence has rendered it almost invisible as an object of contemplation.
In my work, the figures are rescued from this spell of invisibility and restored to their role as the central work. Through a dialogue between the two figures that compose the sculpture, they become the protagonists of a theatrical scene that unfolds in an endless loop.
